So Theophilus London is from Brooklyn and has been opening up for A-Trak in place of the pregnant Rye Rye. I wasn't sure what to think as I have not heard of him prior to the show, but I was blown away by his flow and crowd presence. The people I was with thought he sounded like Pharell but I think that he has own sound, you be the judge.

M.I.A.'s protege Rye Rye has opened up about her reasons for pulling out of her first major tour - she fell pregnant. The teenage hip-hop star, real name Ryeisha Berrain, pulled out of her spring (09) tour with A-Trak without explanation and now she has taken to her blog to reveal she's pregnant. She writes, "I was suppose (sic) to be on the A-Trak tour but because of personal reasons i was pulled in the direction of not doing it. Bass Coast Project Presents Scrub Brush 72 hour film finalist at the WSSF from Bass Coast Project on Vimeo.

These lovely girls are going to putting on a music festival at the end of this month called the Bass Coast Project. The music will be pumping through the squamish valley and through your ear holes right here. Stay tuned for more information as the valley seems to be in a uproar over live music.

Having been a dedicated secret weapon of Bassnectar sets for many months, this little doozy is a mashup of Groove Armada’s “Superstylin” with the instrumental beats from “Art of Revolution”… full on heaving crush-core dubstep with a big room hook for that nice ‘blast from the past’ effect!

And yes, it’s a bootleg. Hopefully Andy and Tom won’t mind the props. Superstylin’ was first released in 2001 on their Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub) album and features vocalist Mike Daniel (aka MAD). And 8 years later, its sound is still slammmmmming! Recently, Groove Armada dropped a new E.P. with Van She, The Twelves, and Mad Decent remixes. Check it.
